Good questions. A Virtual Assistant or VA is an independent professional who works from home.  A VA can perform a wide range of office functions for one or more clients without having to be in the clients office.

A VA owns their own business, which means big savings to the client. By hiring a VA you can save thousands of dollars a year by not having to worry about Health, Dental, or Vision benefits, equipment and space, supplies, retirement plans, insurance, unemployment, taxes, and the list goes on and on. What tasks can a VA perform?  A VA provides services such as secretarial, administration, book keeping, desktop publishing, marketing, business planning, website design & development, mailings, appointment making, Sending out invoices and collection notices, Word processing and correspondence, writing, editing and the list goes on.

By hiring a VA you only pay them for the time they spend on your projects. If you hire a VA for 20 hours a month, then you only pay them for only 20 hours a month. If you would a hire a regular employee you would have to pay them whether or not you had work for them that day. So if you had a regular
